Rajesh Debnath

Hi, I'm Rajesh Debnath.

I am a CS PhD student at North Carolina State University, working under the supervision of Prof. Min Chi. My research focuses on offline & hierarchical reinforcement learning for Intelligent Tutoring Systems, robust evaluation (DR/WDR), and sequence modeling. I build end-to-end ML systems using PyTorch and d3rlpy, and have deployed a CQL-based tutor with statistically significant gains in natural learning.

My recent work includes policy distillation with meta-RL, Robust DQN for stock market trading, and GNNs for prosthetic-limb gait. I am seeking Summer 2026 ML/AI internships.

Prior to my PhD, I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and worked as a Software Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh.
